Educational Overview
The Two-year educational course that our students undertake is: - What is a BTEC National Certificate?
A BTEC National Certificate is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about the employment area you have chosen, you develop the skills you need to start a career. What are the entry requirements?You will normally need to have at least one of the following:
What is the course structure?The course is made up of 12 units - Eight core units which everyone takes, and four specialist units. What subjects will I study?Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Certificate in Sport (Performance and Excellence)Unit Core units — all eight units must be taken
Unit Specialist units — four units must be taken
How is the course assessed?All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded. What can I do at the end of the course with the education I have achieved?BTEC National Certificates are valued by employers and higher education (Universities and Colleges).
